For this design I used a large image for the background and a different colour scheme for each section of the site. There is a rough division between the menu area and the main content area as well as in the framing of images. This helps give it a more organic feel and, when paired with the straight lines in the design, reflects the combination of old and new material which is present when retrofitting a house. Overall i’m quite happy with the result.
